Purpose
Developed through student research at the University of Portsmouth, Mobile Device Plans has grown into an award-winning mobile identifier analysis platform. It brings telecom identifier analysis, validation and public numbering records together in one integrated service.
The platform supports forensic education, practical investigation and research by giving students, lecturers and researchers free access to a breadth of specialist tools that would otherwise be spread across multiple services.

Academic foundation
The platform was developed through academic work at the University of Portsmouth. It operates independently of regulators, mobile networks and the GSMA, and identifies these organisations when their publications are used as sources.
Enterprise and Innovation Award
Mobile Device Plans received the 2024 Enterprise and Innovation Award in recognition of its practical and innovative approach to telecommunications identifier analysis.
